ABox for various industry classification standards.
Builds upon established business ontologies, like FIBO.
Expressed in RDF, the lingua franca of machine-readable information.
Datasets and software packages of the financial industry make use of various classification standards. While formally standardised and maintained, the official materials are not provided with the FAIR principles in mind.
The FIBO ontology provides the TBox (the terminological foundation) for securities classification but the ABox (i.e. the individuals) is missing. This resource was created to close this gap.
The official github repository contains the published ontologies. In the encore section below direct links to the most prominent classification schemes can be found.
